Work.
To get a good idea of the standard of websites I can produce, it's probably best to take a look at what I've previously done before. Please don't be put off by the slight lack of websites I have online - I have been doing this for a long time, but only recently started creating websites for other people and businesses. So please, do me a favour and ask me to do your website to help me build up a stronger and more impressive portfolio! You get a website at a very reasonable price, and I get to practice - everyone's a winner.
While at university, my final year project was titled 'Watermarking of Digital Images'. This involved me implementing and comparing various methods of watermarking digital images. The final paper for this project can be read here. This piece of work was given a first classification.

A music blog written totally from scratch. More of a time consumer than a project with a purpose. Using PHP and MySQL, it allows blog contributers to log in to the users area where they can add posts, delete posts and edit personal details easily with a simple layout. The five most recent posts are shown on the home page. There is also an email box to contact the bloggers on, as well as a search function which looks for keywords amongst the post's title and messages. Complete with a simple and tidy stylesheet. |

This website is a showcase for the artwork and various other creativities of Nick Miller. Having chosen the alias of eat my face, I set to work on categorising his work and displaying it in a way that was easy to navigate around it. The CSS sheets keep a nice consistent look to the website, which itself is a bit quirky with the menu at the bottom. This page also includes PHP and MySQL. I created a blog on the website where Nick can log in with a username and password, and post his writing. The blogs are kept on a database, so new posts are updated immediately. I also used PHP to create a contact page where people can write a message which is then sent to his email directly. |

The University of East Anglia's Raise and Give Society needed a website to post news and updates about the society. It is a place to display information about the committee and what the society did. The images and design were created using Adobe Photoshop. The members of the committee also have individual usernames and passwords to log in, where they can post and delete messages from the index page. This uses PHP and MySQL to interact with a database. This website had to have good usability for the committee, while maintaining a neat and professional look. |

The University of East Anglia's Ultimate Frisbee Club is a huge asset to their recruitment of members at the start of each academic year. The website can be viewed by anyone and easily found on google. It not only gives information about the club but also provides sources of vital information regarding the club. The current site design was set up by myself, however since my graduation I no longer maintain or keep the site updated. |
